Workshops for Healthcare Teams
Working alongside healthcare professionals to strengthen communication, stay present under pressure, and navigate the complex, human moments at the center of care.
Healthcare teams work in fast-paced, high-stakes environments where communication matters at every level—between colleagues, with patients, and with families. Time is limited, emotions can run high, and even small misunderstandings can have a significant impact. The work requires clarity, adaptability, and presence in every interaction.
My perspective is shaped by both professional and personal experience in healthcare. As a Lead Family Partner at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, I worked alongside care teams to improve communication, patient experience, and family-centered care. As a caregiver for my daughter through 44 surgeries and for my mother during cancer treatment, I’ve experienced healthcare from the family side—navigating complex conversations, decision-making, and emotional moments in real time. I understand what it’s like to be in those rooms—and how communication shapes not just outcomes, but the experience of care itself.
We focus on
-
Staying present in high-pressure environments
-
Reading verbal and nonverbal cues from patients and families
-
Responding with clarity in complex or emotional conversations
-
Strengthening communication across care teams
-
Supporting one another while managing demanding workloads
The inCahoots approach
Interactive, collaborative workshops that apply on-stage skills to the unscripted moments of healthcare.
Through guided activities and real-life scenarios, we practice presence and deep listening, notice and respond to verbal and nonverbal cues, explore how to respond with intention rather than reaction, and build habits of supporting one another in the moment.
Grounded in applied improv and communication simulation, teams don’t just talk about communication—they experience it, reflect on it, and carry it back into their daily interactions.
No performance required—just practical, engaging learning we build together in the room.
